Self esteem is how we think about ourselves. When we have healthy self-esteem, we tend to feel positive about ourselves and our lives in general. This allows us to better cope with life’s ups and downs. When our self-esteem is low, we tend to view ourselves and our lives in a more negative and critical light.
Stop blaming yourself for things that aren’t your fault
You’re not alone.
I know you feel like you’ve got this all figured out, but I’m here to tell you that we’ve all been there. We’ve all felt like the world would be better off if we weren’t in it. We’ve blamed ourselves for things that aren’t our fault, and we’ve given into the idea that we’re worthless because of them.
But you know what? It’s not your fault! You are not worthless! And I know it’s hard to believe that when everything inside of you is telling you otherwise, but it’s true.
It may take time and a lot of practice, but I promise that one day soon (or maybe even today) you’ll realize that your self-esteem doesn’t come from external sources or circumstances—it comes from within yourself: from who YOU are, what YOU stand for, and how YOU treat others.
Start appreciating everything about yourself that you like
I get it.
You’re having a hard time right now. You’ve been feeling low for a while, and it’s not just because of the weather or your job or the fact that your cat has been spending way too much time in the litter box lately.
It’s also because you’re not sure what to do with yourself. You feel like nobody understands, and nobody cares about you—and maybe they don’t! Maybe nobody does understand, and maybe nobody does care about you—but that’s okay! Because here’s the thing: if you don’t care about yourself, then nobody else will either. And if you don’t make an effort to appreciate who you are and what makes you great, then no one else will be able to see those things in themselves either.
So here’s what we’re gonna do: we’re going to start appreciating everything about ourselves that we like. We’re going to do it every day—because every day is different, and there are always new things that we can appreciate about ourselves! So let’s get started!
Give to others so you can move away from focusing on yourself
It is not uncommon to feel low self esteem.
Some people find ways to deal with it, while others do not.
However, there are people who have found ways to deal with the feelings of low self-esteem and have become successful.
One of the things that you can do is give to others.
You will be surprised at how much this will help you feel better about yourself.
Learn to enjoy life and have fun
I know you’re having a hard time right now. I hear you on the low self-esteem thing—it’s tough to feel like you’re not good enough and that your life isn’t worth anything. But you have to remember: you are worth something, and your life is worth living.
You have to start thinking of ways that you can enjoy life and have fun with it. Maybe it’s going out with friends or doing something creative, like painting or writing a book or making music. Maybe it’s just taking a walk in nature or hanging out with your pets. Try to think of things that make YOU happy and do them as often as possible! You’ll be amazed at how much better you feel when you start doing things that make YOU happy.
And remember: we’re here for you. You can always talk to us if things get tough
Take small steps towards changing negative thoughts
If you’re like most people, you’ve probably heard the phrase, “You are what you think.”
But it’s not just a saying. It’s true. What we think about can actually change our lives—and not just in small ways. If we think about negative things for long enough, we start to believe them, and then those thoughts become our reality.
So how do you change the way you think?
One way is to take small steps towards changing those negative thoughts into positive ones. It doesn’t have to be a huge leap—just take it one small step at a time and watch your life change!
